The Linen Chest
Our missionaries say that the ministry of the Linen Chest by Women of the Church of God is unlike any other program in the world. Our missionaries recount stories of missionaries from other church traditions being amazed at the scope of the Linen Chest ministry.
Women of the Church of God provides the household necessities that each mission family will need while in service and upon final return from service. The Linen Chest ministry extends to retired missionaries, missionary children, and recipients of Minister's Aid.
Women of the Church of God groups typically send cash donations to support the Linen Chest. This is preferable as the national office often buys linens direct from the factory, enabling us to purchase high-quality merchandise at discount prices. Nearly $30,000 is donated annually.

Career Missionary Gifts
Kitchen, Bath & Bed Linens
Dish cloths and towels, hot pads and mitts, table linens, bath towels and mats, bed sheets, pillow protectors, mattress pad covers, bedspreads, and pillows are provided free of charge to our mission families. The laundry facilities for many missionary women includes a wringer washer and a clothes line dryer; therefore, we attempt to purchase high quality linens so they will last throughout the four years of service. The mission family is re-supplied with linens every four years.

Tupperware & Silverware
Mission families often reside in locations which require air-tight containers for many articles of food. Tupperware, Rubber Maid and other plastic ware is given to help them with their storage needs.
A one-time personal gift of Oneida flatware is given to each career mission family that is theirs to keep for life. The Betty Crocker coupons that our women clip so diligently enable us to purchase high quality flatware at discount prices. |
