Christ’s Birthday Observance 2008
Theme: Visions of the Father

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:7 NKJV

Imagine yourself in a room without light.  The darkness permeates every aspect of the room, so that you cannot tell any of the contents of the room but you cannot even see your hand in front of your face.  In the midst of this all consuming darkness a tiny light appears from out of nowhere.  Within moments its glow illuminates the room. Things hidden by darkness, suddenly, spring into view. The point of any light is not to bring attention to itself but to instead bring attention to its surroundings, so that one may be able to navigate the room. Read more...

 Opportunities for Ministry

This year to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other gift giving occasions, consider giving a gift in honor of a special person in your life.

  • Honor your local Women of the Church of God president by donating a bicycle for a woman leader traveling to groups in remote areas of Zambia.
  • Show your appreciation to someone special by giving a cow that will help sustain a family in Rwanda.
  • Need a practical was to teach about giving for your kids.  Donate a chicken, duck, or rabbit in the name of your Sundays School or Vacation Bible School.

There are gifts in every price range from $1.00 for chickens to $700.00 for cows.  The possibilities are endless.  Your gift will not only show your appreciation for a friend, but will change the lives of African families.

The projects listed below encourage the spread of the Gospel while providing for the financial and nutritional needs of families. Read more...
